About Me

Student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa | Shidler College of Business

Hawaii is my home. The local community here on the islands consists of a melting pot with many different cultures that intertwines with our daily activities and lifestyles. This cultural awareness that I have grew up with inspired me to travel and dive deeper into these unique cultures. My ethic backgrounds are Filipino, Japanese, Chinese and Hawaiian, and I am born and raised on the island of Oahu.

About: About

My name is Rosalyn Kagimoto and I have the amazing opportunity to study abroad in South Korea for the Spring 2022 semester at Seoul National University's Business School. I am a quad major - Marketing, Management, Finance, and International Business. I am also currently involved in the American Marketing Association and this club has greatly impacted my professional and interpersonal growth.

This decision to study was a tough one since my planned graduation date was Spring 2022. But realizing the opportunity I was given, I will not be able to live in a foreign country for almost half a year when I start my professional career. Thus motivated me to take this chance and live abroad.

Why South Korea?

Korean cuisine has some of my favorite dishes to eat! Their food consists of comfort, spice, and everything nice! So much tasty desserts, coffees, and more! The noms never end!

Studying abroad during the spring in South Korea brings the amazing opportunity to see Cherry Blossoms bloom! Although the time frame may be short, this is something I have never got the chance to experience!

Korean pop culture also consists of so many things that I enjoy! From K-Pop to Korean Dramas, to fashion and beauty, this country excels in it all!

South Korea has such a fast paced, unique lifestyle that I wanted to immerse myself in. With it's cutting edge technology, extravagant cafe culture, and beautiful scenery, the fun never stops!
